Six Degrees of Seperation Spanish American War-Hiroshima

August 1898 Spanish American War Ends. This makes the United States of America into an Empire that invades/ conquers other countries. It also results in receiving Pacific territories such as the philippines, Guam, and Hawaii.

September 19,  1931 - Japan invades Manchuria. The Japanese believed that America would not do anything against them. since America was busy dealing with its pacific possessions. So they invaded Manchuria.

February 24th, 1933- Japan leaves the League of Nations. The United States and the League of Nations warned Japan to leave Manchuria alone, Japan refused and withdrew from the league of nations. This provides tension between the U.S. and Japan. Japan is daring the U.S to do something.

July 26 1941 - U.S. freezes Japanese assets. Japan has limited amount of resources especially oil. This causes them to do something drastic, such as bombing Pearl Harbour to get their resources back.

December 7th 1941 - Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbour was a "sneak attack". Japan had not declared war yet against America because the diplomats failed to send it in time. This made the act of violence seem so much worse which caused  the outraged America to go to war against Japan.

December 8th 1941- America declares war against Japan. Troops are exhausted and believe that when they get to Japan they will face an entire country of humans who would rather die than surrender. This causes the United States Government to look into anyway to keep their soldiers morale aloft. Hence, Hiroshima.

August 6th,  1945 Hiroshima

  1. This is reasonable. Note - WWI could be also important. During WWI Japan seized many of German-held territories in the Pacific. After WWI Japan, which had fought with the Allies, felt slighted by Britain, France and the U.S. The acquisition of territory in the Pacific puts it closer to conflict with the U.S.
